Babes, bikes and business.

WOW! Has it really been almost three months since My last post? I really need to get a better handle on this blogging thing. I only remembered the thing because someone posted a comment.

Life has been very interesting between babes, bikes and business. Lets start with the sweetest first: The Babe. I met her just after I made My last entry in the blog. She wanted to learn about Domination and submission and was hopeful that her partner could/would learn how to dominate her. It was clear to both of us after two meetings that there was much more happening between us. Sparks flew and I admit it was difficult to be respectful of her existent relationship but I was. The ethics of dating and doing relationships is so important to keep things clean and contribute to the overall sustainability of a longterm relationship. I knew this would not be a random fuck or play partner.

Fast forward three months and she has become My submissive and is a student of BDSM, S&M, and how to do a Dominant/submissive relationship. I recommended a couple of books that I think are critical reading for anyone interested in how to "do" D/s or a relationship that is grounded in power exchange. Here is My recommended reading list. Any of these books can be found at Amazon.com or Greenery Press.

1) Screw The Roses, Send Me The Thorns
2) The Bottoming Book by Dossie Easton and Janet Hardy
3) The Topping Book by Dossie Easton and Janet Hardy
4) Different Loving by Gloria Brame
5) The Ethical Slut by Dossie Easton and Catherine Liszt
6) Partners in Power by Jack Rinella
7) Consensual Sadomasochism by William Henkin and Sybil Holiday

I am not emotionally or financially invested in any of these publications or authors. They are simply the books that I have found to be most comprehensive, easy to understand and are grounded in the same philosophy that I have developed over the years.
My submissive is similar to others that have been curious about the lifestyle: they became sponges for any and all available information on the subject.
This is a wonderful opportunity to teach and share this alternative lifestyle that allows us to create any kind of relationship that works for us. We get to decide the ground rules. We get to negotiate rules and regulations that work for us.
We are having a bunch of fun!

Next up for discussion is the bike. You will have to excuse Me but I am currently pissed at the Harley Shop and its about the bike. Its been a challenging few months learning how to ride and having multiple problems with the bike that have resulted in breaking down on the side of the freeway FOUR times in three months. It is NOT a good idea to buy a bike that has sat for more than 4 years. I thought I was getting a good deal. But I have had nothing but fuel/carburetor problems since I bought the damn bike. Its been a good bike to learn how to ride because its lightweight, easy to handle and fun to ride. But, its got problems and I quickly found out that its not big enough for how I want to ride. I have drained and flushed the tank, had the float bowl cleaned out, changed numerous spark plugs and it still coughs, spits and misses. Not sure what the problem is or how to fix it but its not going to be My problem much longer. I am about to go purchase a new bike thanks to the babe mentioned above. The bike problems have become more of a safety issue than anything else. Being stuck on the side of the road is dangerous on many levels. Its been a good learning experience though on how to merge safely to the side of the road but one lesson I hope not to repeat for a long time.
I have had to think long and hard about which bike to buy. Having always ridden on a Harley........I've never been on anything but...........its been an assumption that I would always be a Harley girl. But today, there are so many other options for a good, dependable, pretty and powerful bike. For the money I can spend, I can get way more for My money by going to a different brand.
It seems as though all the major bike companies now make a comparable V Twin Cruiser that has that WOW look that has traditionally been cornered by the Harley market. The one that has Me going WOW is the Yamaha V Star 1100 Classic. I'm going shopping this weekend so I'll be reporting on the comparison shopping of the Yamaha, a Honda and the Harley. I'm a short chick so I need something that has a low seat height and is light enough for Me to be able to pick it up off the kickstand with NO problems. Honda makes a 750 Shadow Aero that might be a good in between bike. What I mean is that Yamaha makes a 650 and then jumps to the 1100 with no choices in between and I might find that the 750 is plenty big for Me. Comfort and confidence are the two elements that will make the choice for Me. I'll keep ya posted.

Last but not least is the business. Lots of changes there. This time of year things start to pick up again. The months of March and April sucked in terms of business. Everyone is paying off their Christmas Credit Card purchases and getting ready to pay the IRS and property taxes. Its the time when most clients need to hang on to any of their disposable cash. I think the state of the economy in general has also had a major impact on business. I have busied Myself with some new marketing. I have a brand new ad coming out in DDI Magazine in June. I first advertised with them at the beginning of the year w/o seeing the magazine first. It was an okay ad but this time around, it will be in color, with an updated picture to reflect My recent weight loss and has some awesome graphic work that My girl did for Me.
Being in the business for three years now, I have made a name for Myself, have developed a nice client base of repeat clients and have gotten to do some fantastic scenes the last few months. I've been developing the "role play" concept and marketing that more on the Craigs List ads that I frequently post. My favorites have become the Head Mistress who must reprimand the wayward student with some serious discipline, The Warden who has a private "rehabilitation" session with the inmate, and the Sex Therapist/Human Resources Director who must deal with the employee who was caught viewing pornography at work.
Business is picking up now and I am glad because I am about to have a new motorcycle to pay for. My life is blessed.
